Terry Pichor Joins the Villa Eyrie Resort as Executive Chef
The Villa Eyrie Resort, Canada’s newest and most exciting mountain top destination, is proud to announce the Executive Chef and mentor to the culinary team. Terry Pichor just completed his eighth year as the Executive Chef at the award-winning Relais & Châteaux Sonora Resort. We are truly delighted that Terry has accepted this position to join us at the Villa Eyrie Resort and we are very excited to welcome him into our team. A great business needs a great leader and we are grateful we can now count on one of Canada’s best chefs to lead our culinary team.
Terry grew up in the small community of Pine Falls, Manitoba and later moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 2002. While Terry was trained in classical French cuisine, he received his official culinary education on the West Coast where he currently resides. Terry is now a two-time medal recipient at the Gold Medal Plates, the elite celebration of Canadian Excellence in cuisine, wine and arts.
Through his travels, Terry has developed unique techniques that have added to his culinary works of art. Sourcing from only the best farm fresh ingredients Vancouver Island has to offer, Terry’s menus will be sophisticated and innovative. His profound interest for rustic flavours from around the world combined with his love of the West Coast will be the perfect combination for the direction of the Summit Restaurant.
We look forward to Terry’s culinary artistries at the Villa Eyrie where he will become a very important part of the Resort. We are extremely excited for his arrival on November 7th, as he will join a hand selected team of managers and a team of chefs and cooks who look forward to creating incredible dishes alongside him for years to come.
