According to Villa Eyrie’s General Manager, Alexander Fischer-Jean, the Resort will be a perfect fit for the collection. “Our guests appreciate staying in a breathtaking setting in the heart of Lower Vancouver Island. What sets us apart, though, are our exclusive experiences for our guests including access to a members-only motorsports track, fishing on an untouched river via a local partnership and a myriad of exceptional hiking trails within a very short drive.”

Canadian ambassador for SLH, Larry Mogelonsky, is excited about this latest addition to the group. “Villa Eyrie Resort is the first hotel in British Columbia and Canada’s second, next to Trout Point Lodge, to be accepted. We chose it not only because of its location and scenery, but because of its dedication to service. We look forward to offering a quintessential Canadian experience to guests from across North America, Europe and beyond.”

Villa Eyrie Resort is also kicking off 2019 with an exciting alpine-inspired menu to be launched in the spring. This menu of European alpine cuisine mixed with flavors of the Pacific Northwest comes from the Resort’s Michelin-trained executive chef, Mario Gross, and pastry chef, Matthias Conradi, and is accompanied by a new wine list focusing on niche British Columbian gems.

Also new for 2019 will be the introduction of several thrilling automotive packages for resort guests. According to Fischer-Jean, “Our partnership with the Vancouver Island Motorsports Circuit gives guests the chance to test out high performance vehicles on a professional track. In addition, we are developing a package that allows Villa Eyrie guests to visit an otherwise private facility, Coachwerks Restoration, for an exclusive tour of the 30,000-square-foot facility featuring a collection of classic European sportscars.”

Thanks to its newfound place in SLH, this well-kept local secret is poised to be one of the most desirable destinations in the world.
