Spa Director

The Spa Director oversees the function of two spa locations on the property.  This position is also responsible for assisting in establishing the vision, direction and aesthetic appeal of the spa and all spa practitioners will report to it.

This position is a year-round, rotating work schedule.  There is no travel involved; however, you should expect that your typical day will include a variety of tasks, and you may be asked to participate in success in any given manner.

Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Participates in the formulation of the Annual Operating Budget in determining the projected revenues and expenses, operating equipment and requirements in line with the compilation of the Annual Business Plan
  • Inspects all Spa areas, in both locations, on a regular basis to ensure furnishings, facilities and equipment are clean and in repair, well maintained and replaced/refurbished as required
  • Serves as link between the hotel and spa industry
  • Meets with group meeting planners to show spa facility and programs as required
  • Tours prospective spa guests
  • Promotes and sells customized spa programs to conference groups as required.
  • Provides and takes responsibility for the professional delivery of all information
  • Works efficiently with Marketing in all aspects of spa/hotel promotion as required
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing, promotions, and sales techniques
  • Identifies training needs, develops formal training plans and implements training sessions
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations and growth
  • Responsible to train managers and supervisors and fulfill training role in the absence of the trainer
  • Leads by example for guest relations; empowers employees to provide excellent customer service

 Qualifications and Abilities

  • Formal Education in Esthetics is required
  • Previous experience in Spa Management, 3-5 years in a similar establishment, required

Housekeeping Attendant

 

$16.50 per hour with an increase after three months.

 

The Housekeeping Attendant assists the Executive Housekeeper in facilitating all day-to-day operations within the Housekeeping department. The Housekeeping Attendant must be passionate whom possesses a keen eye for detail, as you will be responsible for maintaining room and resort hygiene to the highest industry standard.

This position is a year-round, rotating work schedule.  There is no travel involved; however, you should expect that your typical day will include a variety of tasks, and you may be asked to participate in success in any given manner.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper in the day-to-day operation of the department, ensuring service standards are followed
  • Handle Guest complaints and follow through on required actions
  • Ensure furnishings, facilities and equipment are clean and in repair, well maintained and replaced/refurbished as required
  • Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Preference given to candidates with Housekeeping experience

Bartender

As a member of the Villa Eyrie Resort team, the bartender will play a key role in consistently providing an engaging level of warm and genuine service to our guests. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, the bartender will be responsible for the proper and professional preparation of all beverages for our guests. Your warm, attentive guest service and passion for mixology is worth raising a glass to!

Pastry Assistant

Job Description:

  • Assist in producing all pastry for hotel operations under the guidance of the Pastry Chef
  • Assist in production and maintenance of par stocks of dough, sponges, ice creams, etc. as determined by the Pastry Chef
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with fellow employees
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff

Tuscan Spa Receptionist - Part Time

The Receptionist properly represents the spa as he/she is usually the customer’s initial contact with the spa whether it’s by telephone, in person or via email. The receptionist will assist every department in every way to welcome clients. In addition, the receptionist will be required to become familiar with product knowledge and provide information to customers in a professional and courteous manner in the event he/she is ever asked.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Answer all incoming calls to the spa in a timely and friendly manner
  • Provide a daily report of all incoming calls as per the tracking sheet

  • Monitor that clients are looked after if the person they are waiting for is busy or occupied and offer them a beverage while they wait
  • Obtain and process information required to provide service
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Check incoming emails frequently and distribute mail to the individuals they are addressed to

  • Inform Human Resources of any personal record changes, sick days, vacation requests and training

Responsible for the cleanliness and stocking of supplies in the spa waiting area, washrooms and all other client contact points. This will include keeping the merchandise displays attractive and presentable

Estheticians

Working to the core values and operational standards of the Villa Eyrie Resort, and as a key member of the Spa Team, we’re looking for passionate Estheticians to contribute to the success of the Resort. This position requires someone who is hospitable, friendly, and outgoing with a focus on guest service.

Duties and Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to):

  • Provide consistent professional facial and body treatments, waxing, pedicure and manicure treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
  • Actively promote home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.

Dining Room Server

Salary : $11.50 per hours plus gratuities

Bell / Valet Attendant

The Valet is the first and last point of contact for our guests. They are warm, genuine and are continuously seeking for ways to promote our service culture and create lasting memories. Peak physical fitness is a must for this demanding role, which requires frequent pushing, pulling and lifting of items up to 50 pounds – as well as continuous ascending and descending of stairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of Guest’s to their room, luggage, messages and any other items within the hotel.
  • Parking guest vehicles and operating a fleet of hotel shuttle vehicles.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient transfer of luggage to and from the guest’s room.
  • Conduct rooming procedure that explains amenities available in the guests’ suite and at the resort.
  • Assisting the Housekeeping Department with a variety of duties including but not limited to: stocking linen closets, cleaning guest rooms and storing deliveries.
  • Assisting the Facilities team with a variety of duties including but not limited to: grounds and landscaping,fixing maintenance issues and collecting and delivering supplies.

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and present a clean drivers abstract.
  • Class 4 driver’s license would be an asset.

Spa Therapist

Responsibilities:

  • Provide treatments in a consistently thorough manner and in compliance with established Company procedures and practices; immediately address guest issues and complaints as they arise.

  • Set up and organize workstation with appropriate supplies and materials, reporting product shortages to supervisor.
  • Carefully review and verify medical releases with all guests prior to commencement of treatment.
