Dining Room Server
As a member of the Villa Eyrie Resort team, the Dining Room Server ensures that all guests are served with superior customer service while upholding quality standards for the restaurant operations. You are a true professional with a passion for food, wine and the entire food and beverage experience, which you dedicate to sharing with our guests by providing an exceptional dining experience.Duties and Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to):

  • Ensure the highest guest satisfaction by providing consistent excellence of service and giving genuine personal attention
  • Professionally greeting and welcoming guests upon their arrival to the restaurant
  • Project a pleasant and positive professional image to all guests at all times
  • Sell and upsell menu and beverage items in a positive, professional manner

  • Performing opening, cleaning and closing duties
  • Has good working knowledge of the POS system and payment machines in order to provide efficient and accurate ordering and billing.

BC Registered Massage Therapist

We are looking for a passionate BC Registered Massage Therapist to contribute to the success of the resort and spa. This position requires someone that is professional, friendly, outgoing and emotionally mature with a focus on guest services.

Duties and Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to):

  • Consistently provide professional and friendly service to our guests.
  • Perform all massages and body treatments in accordance with protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work environment, ensuring equipment is in safe working order.
  • Assist with all aspects of spa operations as assigned by management.
  • Actively promote spa services and retail products.
  • Maintain current professional license, CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.


  • Licensed BC RMT with minimum of 2200 hours of education.
  • 2 years experience preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate.

Restaurant Supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, responsibilities for all daily operational needs that are not limited to the following:

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Train staff to anticipate and respond to guests needs
  • Actively build open communication with staff to ensure feedback regarding guest satisfaction
  • Ensure that all members of the team are fully trained in their duties and cross-trained in rooms divisions
  • Encourage the professional development of all team members and take ownership of activities such as departmental training coordination, ensuring that all agreed training plans are adhered to
  • Ensure all members of the team are familiar with the daily tasks, provide on-going refresher training and nominate team members for hotel training courses
  • Implement the departmental training plans with all new recruits and monitor their performance
  • Thoroughly understand and be committed to minimum standards in food presentation, beverage and service
  • Ensure and maintain consistently high standards through day-to-day communication, daily briefings and on-going training
  • Ensure a high standard of grooming, personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Know and adhere to the rules and regulations of the Resort as set out in the Company Handbook
  • Ensure that all members of the team are fully aware of the Liquor Licensing Laws and possess Serving It Right licenses

  • Conduct informative weekly/monthly departmental meetings in absence of Restaurant Manager
  • Any other reasonable duty as requested by a member of the hotel management team

Service Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain guest rapport throughout length of stay at Resort
  • Remain calm, composed and in control even in unusual situations

Resort Banquet Supervisor

A Resort Banquet Supervisor supervises all phases of banquet events and coordinating activity on a daily basis. Ensures that all service standards, departmental policies are followed. Act as a single point of contact with the banquet host during the banquet event.

Duties and responsibilities are as follows, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for making event venues visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event.
  • Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms and storage areas.
  • Responsible for the proper application and working order of all equipment, furniture and fixtures within all venues.
  • Responsible for consistently implementing service standards and operating procedures.
  • Provide unique and creative ideas to enhance meetings & group experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise events and team members throughout service.
  • Guide the banquet servers in an efficient and safe set up and take down.
  • Be intimate with all current and upcoming Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
  • Work under pressure and maintain composure at all times.
  • Scheduling of banquet staff, prepare weekly duty chart to correspond with BEO’s and manage all internal resources.
  • Assist and support the Catering and Sales Coordinator in all aspects, assist with site inspection and take part in pre-event briefings
  • Organise Transportation of food and equipment to offsite catering events.
  • Responsible for monthly inventory, consumption spreadsheet and banquet labours.
  • Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies and operating equipment for all events.
  • Cross training will occur in Guest Services and Restaurant, where and when off-season shifts may be assigned.
  • Physically demanding, lifting up to 25lbs without assistance



Degree or diploma in hotel management or equivalent.


Previous experience in similar job role or minimum 2 years experience as a banquet captain. Experience in hotel management software and point of sale software.

Guest Services Agent

The Guest Services Agent will represent the Villa Eyrie Resort and GAIN Group in all guest interactions. They will be the first point of contact with guests and handle all stages of the guest experience. This position is a true representative of the understanding that empowerment leads to exceptional results.

This position is a year-round, rotating work schedule, including evenings and weekends and all major holidays. There is no travel involved; however, you should expect that your typical day will include a variety of tasks, and you may be asked to participate in success in any given manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, genuinely friendly, personalized and engaging service
  • Implementing the highest level of standard for the resort. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining said standard consistently throughout the Front Office department.
  • Remain on top of the ever changing activity trends of Vancouver Island and surrounding areas and be able to speak knowledgeably of them and associated service providers
  • Support the department in all facets of operations including: checking-in and checking-out guests, billing, reservations, phone management, luggage, valet services, transportation and concierge inquires.
  • Upselling guest rooms and promoting hotel services
  • Handle guest complaints and requests
  • Assist and direct guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and corporate policies, maintain confidentiality at all times


  • 1-3 years held in a Guest Services position within a luxury hotel or similar environment
  • Hospitality Diploma is preferred
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Previous customer related experience and hotel PMS experience is an asset
  • Must have the ability to handle cash effectively and accurately

This position requires someone who is hospitable, friendly, and outgoing with a focus on guest service.

Duties and Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to):

  • Provide consistent professional facial and body treatments, waxing, pedicure and manicure treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
  • Actively promote home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
